Making things look pretty.
So, a sort of continuation of the updates post, now that I have a good majority of textures sorted out, I'll now be focusing on 3 main things, a water texture, the surroundings like foliage and a potential cube map for the background and then adding small details to some of the main assets.
But first, a bit on whats done.

So, a post processing effect has been added for some ambient occlusion, making some really nice shadows over the scene. Some of the lighting has been edited, the sky box is linked to a directional light, meaning the sun is on the sky box, making the same colour fade as the movie scene (the pink to blue).

There is currently no sea, which will be part of my goal to get the surroundings done, however the shadows are helping a lot with the overall feel of the scene.

The stone/marble texture has been scaled up now that the detail is more obvious, and the metal is way shinier.

I've got some new textures, the main ones being fabric textures for the seating. The deck chairs and seating are going to need pillows on them, which I'll model separately and add to the scene.

Some details for the tops of the walls are done, the normal for them might need to be stronger but its working. The lamps also have been UV mapped. Their materials are done solely in Unreal. The plant vase is also looking slightly better with light and a normal, but the foliage is going to have to be improved for more detail, as it's quite simple.

A main texture for the bottom of the pool is done (blocked by a horrible water texture right now) and I'm currently looking through tutorials into a water texture that refracts light properly, because if I get that right, I think it will make the scene.

As mentioned before, some assets need small details added, like the seating being smoothed out, as well as edges being more defined, although I might be able to do that with blend materials.

The edges of the pool look nice too, it doesn't tile perfectly but its not noticeable until you look for it, so I think it can be left for the time being.
Overall, everything's starting to fit together.
I'll do a post primarily on the water material once its done, however the foliage and details will be in another update like this.
I also will need to sort out blend materials and a way to do the leaves in the scene, as it will break up the amount of stone visible in the scene.
Onto more work!
- Jemma.
