So, it's been a while but I've currently been preparing for proper textures, as well as experimenting with how I'll do the surrounding area.

I've changed the lighting so it's more of an orange, as I'm going with the afternoon scene at the end of the movie.
There's currently just an image of the house at a placeholder, as I plan to model parts of it so it sticks out. However, the player will not be able to go up the stairs, as I don't have enough time to model the above platform.

As for the sand entrance in front, part of it will be a wall, and the rest will be a beach into a sea of some kind, maybe a cube map background will do this.

Also you can also see, I've added some new props, specifically vases and lamps around the edges. Along with this, I've done a bunch of prep for trim sheets, mainly being used by the pool edge and these vases and also some experimentation with foliage and how I'm going to do it.

The fences are looking good, so I think they are probably the only assets so far I don't need to touch anymore.

I don't have a fabric texture yet, but this will replace the deck chairs and also part of the seating, and will hopefully get rid of all the space filled with the stone texture.

Some almost finished normal maps have been made for the side of the seating through, they just need to be cleaned up, and then I'll look into blending textures for things like dirt.

As said above, another trim sheet for the edge of the pool, however this one will need more work as part of this texture is a tile/mosaic piece.

One of the most unique pieces in the scene is done, the main fence piece, however looking over the movie, parts of the fence hang over the staircase so I'll have to create that as well.

And a model for where the sand will go!
There's some bit and pieces still in progress as I write this, but since I haven't updated this blog in a while I thought I'd document what's currently been worked on. So we are getting there! Slowly...
